Chairman's Message       Welcome to the website of the mathematics department of king Saud University. Founded in 1958 our mathematics department is the oldest math department in the country. Since then, the department continues the effort to maintain its leadership through its educational services, consultations, research, activities, and community services in the area of mathematics and its applications. Currently, the department of mathematics has four programs in mathematics: one undergraduate program, two master programs, and one doctoral program. The department is keen to develop its academic programs and research activities in line with job market needs and requirements of development. Along these lines we are about to launch a new undergraduate program in Actuarial Mathematics and Finance. Also the department plans to establish a Center of Excellence in Applied Mathematics.  Finally, we hope that you enjoy surfing through our site and find helpful information. Objectives

       Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

·     To attract mathematically talented candidates for teaching and research positions, and to prepare them for Faculty positions in

          the universities of  the Kingdom of  Saudi Arabia.

·     To provide courses required by other scientific programs and colleges in KSU.

·     To enrich the Arabic Library with mathematics texts authored in or translated to Arabic.

·     To encourage research programs and participation in specialized scientific conferences.

·     To attract distinguished Mathematicians

·   To offer classes and workshops for various sectors requiring mathematical training, and to provide consultations

        to research centers and institutions.
