The Department of Zoology held a reception and introductory meeting for the new comers in the department on Tuesday 22/1/1440 H. The ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Elsayed Younis, Academic Advisor and Coordinator of Student Guidance Committee on behalf of HE Dr. Saleh Bin Abdul Rahman Al Quraishi, Chairman of Zoology Department, where he welcomed the students, and gave them a full explanation of the study plan and career opportunities for graduates wishing them success.

Thereafter, Dr. Elsayed Ahmed Elsayed, member of the Student Affairs Committee, presented a brief explanation on laboratory safety measures. Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Rashid Al-Hemaidi, Former Chairman and of the department and head of Laboratory and Safety Committee, gave students advice and guidance which help them during their study. Open discussions between students and committee members followed the brief presentations.

At the end of the ceremony, students received Laptop bags containing Zoology Department Manual, which were presented by Life Science and Environment Club in the department. The reception was ended by small opening, where deserts and juices were served, in the presence of Student Affairs Committee members; Dr. Abdul Wahab Abdul Warth, Dr. Khalid Al-Inzi and Dr./ Abdul Wahid Al-Rifai and Mr. Hamad Al-Otaibi.
