In line with the strategic plan of the College of Science and King Saud University, which includes the application of TQM in the education process, the Department of Chemistry has taken upon itself to contribute in this field by obtaining the academic and administrative accreditations (local and international) that represent the most important pillar of TQM in an education institution.

As part of the College of Sciences, Chemistry Department is acrredited for the provision of academic administrative services (ISO 9001:2008)

The department began with the bachelor's program which is now accredited academically nationally and internationally.
