Biography
Dr Alothman obtained her PhD (2010-2016) from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, United State of America, in field of the synthesis and applications of tungsten and vanadium oxides/oxyhydroxides in both bulk and nanoparticulate forms under supervision of Professor Allen Apblett. Her project has important applications in both the petrochemical industry and in homeland security. The work had culminated in new catalytic processes for production of useful petrochemicals, sensing devices for terrorist explosives, novel materials for laboratory safety, and discovery of a method for preparing electrically conductive gel and films of vanadium oxides that have been long sought after for electronic and battery applications.
