The department participates in providing numerous services to various sectors and institutions of society, including:

• Developing mathematics curricula at different stages of pre-university education.
• Authoring and evaluating school textbooks at various educational levels.
• Offering multiple mathematics courses as part of the continuing education program organized by the Deanship of the Community Service Center.
• Organizing scientific seminars locally, in the Gulf region, and internationally.
• Reviewing and sometimes supervising graduate theses at other universities in the Kingdom.
• Providing technical consultations for some projects presented by institutions outside the university, such as King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Mawhiba Foundation, the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, the Ministry of Education, and others.
• Developing partnerships with insurance and financial institutions through holding joint workshops and training courses to learn about the latest techniques used, with the participation of specialized experts from international associations such as the Society of Actuaries (SOA)
