The Department of Biochemistry at the College of Science – King Saud University is a dynamic scientific hub where education and research converge, and where knowledge is transformed into real-world impact that serves the community and advances science toward broader horizons.

Since its establishment, the department has embraced an institutional approach rooted in continuous development and the pursuit of academic and research excellence. Its role has evolved beyond the mere delivery of theoretical knowledge to becoming a center for developing innovative solutions in fields that directly affect human health and well-being—such as genomics, personalized medicine, and advanced biotechnological applications.
