Saudi Society for Life Sciences
The Saudi Society for Life Sciences was established in 1395 AH (1975 AD) as the first scientific society in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is honored to have the honorary presidency of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation, and Inspector General. The society is based at King Saud University, which supervises its mission and provides financial and moral support. The society is directly linked to the University President, and membership is open to scientists and researchers in life sciences, particularly Saudis. Honorary membership is awarded to individuals with outstanding scientific contributions in life sciences. The society organizes scientific symposia and conferences that include specialists from around the world to discuss various life science topics. One of the primary goals of the society is to encourage scientific research and promote scientific awareness in life sciences.

To promote and disseminate knowledge related to life sciences, advance the field, and strengthen collaboration among scientists at local, Islamic, and international levels.

Scientific Journal:
The Society publishes a scientific journal titled Saudi Journal of Biological Sciences, printed by Elsevier in Germany. The journal has achieved global recognition by being indexed in the internationally renowned ISI rankings, marking a significant achievement for the Society. The Saudi Journal of Biological Sciences is issued four times annually in English and once yearly in Arabic.
