Strengths

  • Considerable quality management system.
  • The new curriculum has been benchmarked against curricula at well-established universities internationally.
  • Highly qualified trained faculty members.
  • Student gets practical training in the hospital laboratories to develop their skills in the field of medical microbiology through the course 493 MBIO, and the field of applied microbiology through the course 492 MBIO during training in food processing factories.
  • Training of distinguished students.  

Recommendations: The major recommendations correlated with teaching and learning are:

  1. The effectiveness of filed training should be enhanced (Number of students in each opportunity, monitoring the practical training and applications).
  2. ILOs measurement.
  3. Advisory committee
  4. Activate and monitor the electronic surveys to obtain a significant feedback. 

 

 

Strengths:

  1. The students are satisfied on Microbiology program (Generally).
  2. Learning resources, equipment and facilities are adequate.
  3. The mission is correlated with department and program activities, achieving the Departments objectives, reflected the needs of its community, and   guides decision-making processes.
  4. The program administration is understanding and Cooperative and reachable.

 

Recommendations:

  1. Electronic courses should be delivered.
  2. Students should be encouraged for their feedback.
  3. Advisory committee should be made.
  4. Academic advising services should be improved. 
  5. Improve students language skills
  6. Decrease the numbers of resigned faculty members.

 

Efforts should be done to improve the Grade Rate.

  1. Improvement the English language skills of the students,
  2. Encourage the students to visit the teaching staff in the office hours’ time.
  3. Intensify the activities and the quizzes.
