Photonics
The Photonics Research Group at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, King Saud University, focuses on exploring and developing technologies related to light and photonic particles. The group’s research covers a wide range of fields, including quantum photonics, lasers and optical interactions, advanced optics, optical sensors, and nanotechnology in photonics applications. The group is dedicated to advancing scientific and industrial applications through its research in areas such as optical communications, solar cells, light-emitting devices, and radiation detection using modern techniques.
It aims to contribute to the development of fundamental and applied research, supporting innovation and enhancing the Kingdom’s position in science and technology, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
