About the Department
The Chemistry Department is one of the oldest departments at the university, established when the College of Science was founded in 1378 AH. It is also one of the largest departments, not only within the college but across the university, serving all colleges (Engineering, Food and Agriculture Sciences, Education, and Health Sciences).

It is my pleasure, on behalf of myself and my colleagues in the Chemistry Department, to welcome you to the Chemistry Department's website – Female Section.
The Chemistry Department offers:
- An internationally and nationally accredited Bachelor's program.
- Two graduate programs that are currently in the process of obtaining national academic accreditation.
The faculty members of the department actively supervise the educational process, supported by a team that includes faculty members, lecturers, assistants, and technicians.
We at the Chemistry Department are committed to excellence in both education and scientific research, and we are determined to enhance the capabilities of our undergraduate and graduate students by providing appropriate educational facilities and research environments. Additionally, every faculty member contributes to academic advising.
To support the educational process, several quality committees are made up of faculty members and specialists in areas such as education quality development, academic accreditation, and laboratory safety and security.
We are inspired by Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the attention and support the wise leadership has given to Saudi women. With historical decisions granting empowerment, this has led to a qualitative and unprecedented transformation, strengthening their role in various fields, making them active partners in the nation's progress and development, achieving successes in science, economy, politics, and society.
